I'm collecting all my favorite images for the kitchen remodel. It was amazing when I started looking at all the Pinterest images and noticing that I definitely have a preference for white kitchens which are light and bright.
This is my current kitchen. It's totally fine, functions well, granite counters, lots of space but not a space that I am inspired by.

Here are my top 10 favorite kitchens and why I like each of these.
BEST OVER ALL KITCHEN - This kitchen has so many components that I gravitate towards. Obviously the white cabinets are great. But the color white they chose is great - not to bright but not too yellow or creamy. If you ever look at paint chips you know how many whites there are and how difficult choosing the right one could be. I'll have to be careful with the white color for our cabinets.
The center island is amazing1 I want my center island to be dark stain with the same super white granite as the rest of the kitchen.
The coffered ceiling is outstanding. I'm not sure if we have the vertical space to pull this off but it would would look great.
It's hard to see it but the large window by the main sink is exactly what I'd like to have in my kitchen.

BEST WINDOW KITCHEN - This kitchen has a great image of the window that I want to put in. Again the island is amazing and the pendant fixtures are just about perfect for my kitchen. I also like the details with the arch over the main window repeated in the arch over the stove. And if you look closely you can see the pasta water fixture by the stove - gotta have one of those for sure.
BEST BAR STOOLS KITCHEN - the new kitchen will have a great space for an island. This island is great with the space for 4 bar stools and 2 great pendant fixtures. Bar stools are a great opportunity to add some personality or a pop of color. I have 2 little boys so I'd also want to make sure that whatever stools I choose have durable fabric and/or are able to be reupholstered.
BEST CROWN MOLDING KITCHEN - Crown molding to me is like a delicious cake finished with a beautiful fondant. My current kitchen does not have cabinets with crown molding to the ceiling. One day, my 6 year old threw a ball in the house that landed on the top of the cabinets and I went up there to fetch it....holy dust balls batman! So gross. So not only to your achieve a great finished look for your kitchen but you also minimize the amount of disgusting allergens in your home. Just a side note - take a look at the island chandelier - WOW.
BEST SUPPORT BEAM KITCHEN - I'm not sure yet what is going to happen but I'm pretty sure that I have a structural support beam where my center island will go. I know that to remove that structural support we'd have to put in a very large steel I-beam. One of our neighbors wanted to do this also and was told that would cost upwards of $50,000 ... so maybe I'm better off coming to terms with accommodating the structural support. This kitchen gives me some ideas on how I might be able to accomplish an asymmetrical approach.
BEST PENDANT LIGHTS KITCHEN - Yup pretty much exactly what I want for my pendant fixtures. There are a couple of pendant fixtures that I really like from Restoration Hardware - the first one is called the Victorian Hotel Collection. And the second is from the Clemson Prismatic Collection. Both have that classic appears with clean lines and an element of shine with the polished nickel finish. I need to spend some more time looking through some lighting company catalogues.
BEST FUNCtiONAL ISLAND KITCHEN - I want to make sure that our island is not only beautiful but also functional. I like this island with the end cap display shelves. I also want to integrate in a wine refrigerator. Here again you can also see the ceiling. I think this is a more box beam ceiling with beadboarding. Bottomline - I'm trying to make sure I use as much of the space by incorporating drawers, shelves, and cabinets in the island.
BEST ISLAND SINK KITCHEN - Same as the barstools. What a great way to add some color into your kitchen. I love this bar style sink in the island. I'm not sure if I'm that brave to choose a color - I'll probably go stainless steel just so that the fixtures stay neutral and does not dictate too much on the other color schemes in the kitchen and neighboring rooms.
BEST HARDWOOD FLOOR KITCHEN - All of my previous kitchens had ceramic tile. I'm tired of having the discontinuous flooring in the house. I really want the same flooring throughout the house. Makes the house feel more cohesive and open. Maybe I'm naive but it also gets away from the annoying grout lines that constantly require scrubbing.
