I feel justified with the short holiday season to have my holiday decorations up before Thanksgiving. I've been eager to get started and today I finished. It was a long but rewarding day and I'm happy with the results - the planning paid off.
I really had a blast decorating with the kids. They love unwrapping the ornaments and deciding where to go out them. It's such a great tradition to start the season - even if it is a bit early. Enjoy!

My New Balsam Hill Christmas Tree
This is an amazing tree! If you saw my facebook post - we bought the new tree now too long ago. So I now have three trees. The one last year I stripped all the lights off and decided to flock it this year. Then I have another skinny tee that I moved into my bedroom this year.
Anyho...I'm so happy we were able to get the new tree in time for the holidays this year. It's super full and has very realistic needles instead of the commonly found blue spruce type of needle. It was such a pleasure to add my new #BrittBassTurner custom painted ornaments. They look great with the Aqua and Coral color scheme in my family room.
Oh and the skirt - I was feeling like a flokati type of white furry skirt but really couldn't find anything I liked. So while I was in the attic I spotted my old living room drapes from the previous house. I never hung them because there are the wrong length but they totally inspired me to use the panels as my new skirt. It's just two panels I arranged to make it look like a billowy quilted golden skirt. I love the result and no investment required - score!

The Fireplace
This year I sorted out the ornaments and really made it a point to keep the room's coherent with the color scheme. I add the Aqua ornaments and Aqua sprays to keep the keep the eye moving around the room with the Aqua component. Also added a new snowy flocked wrest with a simple grosgrain ribbon and one glitter Aqua ornament.
Other Vignettes around the room...
Tomorrow I'll add some images of the living room and our bedroom.
All in all - I'm feeling the holiday spirit now and ready to get going on the holiday shopping - yicks only 4 shopping weeks left. Enjoy!
