I'm starting a new series featuring new and upcoming artists and some more recognizable artists. I love art and feel that your pieces are special additions to your home. They set the tone. They can set the color scheme. They can speak to who you are and your personality.
I once thought 'I don't have enough money to have real art in my home' but I've recently changed my tune. There are so many amazing young, up and coming artists that really resonate with my style and don't break the bank.
In this first installation - I'm featuring .Erin Fitzhugh Gregory, Here's an excerpt from her website www.efgart.com, "Erin has been fascinated by art as far back as she can remember. As a child, art was always the highlight of the school day. She knew from an early age that she would be an artist when she grew up. Upon graduating from Auburn University with a BFA in painting in 2000, the reality of being a full-time painter was a bit intimidating. After her first solo show at the Lyon's Share Gallery in Fairhope, Alabama in 2001, she realized painting could actually become her career."

I love the use of color and modernity in her pieces. There are great opportunities for creating wonderful color schemes and the paintings, for me at least, have a real happy sense to them - plus you always have a beautiful floral arrangement in the house. And here are some my favorite pieces from her work. I really want a piece for my house - maybe for Christmas or in the new year for a fresh new look. Enjoy!
